CUSTOMER BIKES

Built by you

There's something special about the café racer scene - the community, the camaraderie, the sheer variety of machines people dream up in their garages. We never get tired of seeing what our customers build.

Here's a small selection. Thanks to everyone who's shared their work with us - you're the reason we do this.

Dick's Triumph T300 — Netherlands Dick sent us these brilliant photos of his finished T300 build, and we think he's done a fantastic job. The tulips in the background are a nice touch - you couldn't ask for a more fitting backdrop.

Peter's Triumph T300 — United Kingdom 'The Covid Racer' — Lockdown Motors A T300 build with a story behind it! Peter put this together during lockdown, and we think the name is perfect. Great stance, quality details throughout. Well done Peter!

Dominic's Build — Ireland "A definite lockdown cure!" - Dominic's words, and we can see why. He did everything himself, paintwork included, and the result is a beautifully clean build. Hard to argue with that. It's a keeper!

Keith's Triumph T300 — Gloucestershire 'Born to be Wild' Keith sent us these great shots of his finished T300, and that airbrushed tail unit is something else. Lovely bike, great setting for the photos - thanks Keith!

Olivier's Triumph Trident 750 — Belgium A really sharp T300 build from Olivier, with a stunning metallic black finish that catches the light beautifully. New stainless fasteners throughout, plus a thorough refresh of the engine and chassis components. The details really make it -quality work, Olivier!

Max's Build — Australia Max photographed his finished bike down by the River Murray, which makes for a stunning backdrop. He drew his colour inspiration from the 1960s Triumph Daytona, and the result is spot on. We reckon it's a cracker!

Andy's Build — United Kingdom Andy looks very pleased with himself in these shots - and rightly so. He adapted a Thruxton flyscreen to fit, which we think is a great idea and might just inspire a few of you to do the same. As it happens, this very bike now lives with us at CRK. We couldn't let it go!

Lionel's Build — France Lionel sent us a brilliant series of photos documenting his build from start to finish. That contrasting tank and tail colourway works beautifully, and the chequered details are a lovely touch. Belle moto, Lionel!

Rickard's Build — Sweden Rickard sent us these great shots of his finished project. The grey colour scheme works really well, and that headlight guard is a nice detail. But perhaps best of all… keeping the bike indoors next to a log burner. Now that's how you look after a motorcycle!

Nick's Build — United Kingdom Nick shared his finished build with us, and that colour scheme is really something. We also love that he documented the whole process - a great record to look back on!

David's Build — United Kingdom Bright, bold, and built to go further - David's opted for the larger fuel tank, which is always a sensible choice for longer rides. Touches like the front mudguard give it a distinctly personal feel. Great work, David!

Phil's Build — Jersey Another mean and moody black build - but it's the contrast between the silver engine cases and black covers that really catches the eye. A small detail that makes a big difference.

Mark's Build — United Kingdom Mark sent us photos of his finished bike, and that airbrushed tank is the star of the show. It's always brilliant to see the different directions customers take their builds; no two are ever quite the same. Nice one, Mark!

Martin's Build — United Kingdom Martin sent us these shots of his finished build, and that iridescent paint in the sunshine is something else. Stunning work, thanks for sharing, Martin!

Paul's Build — United Kingdom Paul sent us these shots of his finished bike gleaming in the sunshine, and that paint depth is extraordinary. Lovely details and real precision throughout - top work, Paul!

Ian's Build — United Kingdom All black and looking properly mean - Ian's build has a great presence, and the Forth Bridge making an appearance in the background is hard to beat as a backdrop. Brilliant setting for a photo.

Jonathan Mott: UK, "I really enjoyed the build and it came in just under £5K, for everything "

Completed in the Spring of 2019 Tony says “She certainly receives a lot of attention and many positive comments. Proudly displaying at Capel Classic Bike & Car Show, plus taking part in the Shere Hill climb in September.”

Based on the classic Ton Up boys cafe racer look of the 1950’s

The Tank is painted with Liquid Metal and has a very light clear coat to give it the Alloy Racing tank look. He wrapped the seat to give it a carbon look and swapped out the forks to 955i which improve the feel and ride. She’s been re- jetted and the ignition advanced slightly. The exhaust is a one off creation where he utilised Thunderbird headers and some really great sounding mufflers.

Awesome!

Allan Dearnley - Davison - A very racy Triumph , eye catching paint work and attention to detail, nice one Allan!

Craig Bullen - Australia - “Some might say it’s sacrilege to change a speed, but I don't agree when you see the finished product 😊 It gets so many comments when I’m out. I went on a triumph ride with 50 other bikes of all ages and it was the belle of the ball.” Wow , she’s a beauty alright !

Jos and Andre Roelofs , Netherlands : Once again we have been wowed by customer bikes. introducing the pair of T300 Cafe Racers, completed June 2019 and first trip will be to Assen TT.

Alan Bell - UK - 750 Daytona Triple: Here’s the details… Shortened the wiring loom to fit and used OE connectors rather than doubling it back. This took a while but gives a very neat finish.
Engine cases are ceramic coated.
Front mudguard is a modified version of the OE part
Paintwork is by Flying Tiger Paint. Loving that silver stripe !

T300 Triumph Roadster

Gary Smith : Completed his Roadster in 2019. He’s added some individual pieces on it to make it pretty unique! A Daytona 1200 with the larger tank.

Honda CX

Mario Reznik of Umina Beach NSW Australia, completed this CX 500 Roadster Sport in August 2019.

Mario says, “I want to extend my deepest gratitude to both of you and the whole of CRK. When I started I had done nothing, and knew nothing, and my research led me to the very best place to start. I may not have done a faithful CRK reproduction, but my inspiration came directly form you”.

FYI , the logo CX500 gls stands for Goldie's Little Sister.....after Cognito Moto's CB750 "Goldie".

Paul Austin: Lovely CX stripped down, showing the battery going in. Nice gold Comstars.

Howard Coop: What an eye catching CX conversion!

Sandro Kenda: Sporty looking CX  conversion.

Thanks for such a great product!” Adam has created a wonderful CX Roadster with some great attention to detail and paint system. Superb Arizona backdrop captured by Bailey Brown too.

John Raisbeck: A sunny super smart CX

Marcus Koerfges: CX Cafe Racer transformation !

Andy Wills: CX Cafe Racer - "My CX500 cafe racer has the CRK headlamp module, instrument module, exhaust pipes, rear hugger, frame plugs, tank graphics and ace bars, I've also made my own seat, added Mikuni slide carbs and converted it to monoshock."

Ingo Karnasch - Black Forest, Germany: - Completed his CX Roadster in May 2019. Now with TUV approval, a great looking bike, with a lot of attention to detail.

Honda CB Superdream

Marc Rainville, from Courtenay, mid way up Vancouver Island on the Pacific side of Canada, built this CB conversion. He used a Deluxe with a full Vetter kit . Unfortunately the years have not been kind to Vetter accessories. Marc says, “The outcome is a beautiful bike that is a lot of fun to ride. The pipes make a great sound. Enjoyed doing it so much I plan to tackle another CRK conversion.” Great idea ! Photos below show the CB before and after and the remnants removed for the conversion.

David Adams: Created a wonderful CB from a rough, well used bike to a super shiny model.

Jocelyn Poutas: A very nice CB sporting CRK stitching on leather seat. Great job!

James Wozencroft: James has done a very nice job on this Honda.

Triumph 955 ST

Gilbert Barth of ‘Mascotte’, Juigné sur Loire, in France, completed this Triumph Sprint 955 . He and a friend popped over to the UK to visit us at the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics show in October 2019 and took away the kit. Completed in March 2020 for a motorcycle show, they were unable to show the bike due to the French lockdown as the exhibition was cancelled. Shame. Looking forward to seeing this one out on the road!
